Director/Head Instructor
Scott Elliott
 
      Coach Elliott has trained in martial arts and combat sports for well over 30 years. Starting off in wrestling as a youth and later moving on to formal martial art training, he has earned instructor rankings/black belt levels in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Combat Submission Wrestling, Savate, Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Silat. He is also a former Drill Sgt. for the US Army. He started the AFS Academy in 1994 and has trained champions that have fought and won in Muay Thai, BJJ, Submission Wrestling and MMA locally, nationally and internationally. He also currently teaches some of the only college accredited courses in the U.S. in BJJ, Muay Thai and MMA for Eastern Kentucky University.

Jessamyn Duke
 
     Jessamyn has trained at AFS for 5 years. Starting in Muay Thai, she moved on to eventually train in every program we had to offer. She is a Muay Thai Champion, NAGA BJJ and Submission Wrestling Champion and currently holds two highly respected MMA titles. She recently returned from Las Vegas where she won the Tuff-N-Uff women's 145lb title. Jess has also recently graduated from EKU with a degree in Fitness and Wellness Mgt. Jess is one of our Muay Thai, BJJ, Submission Wrestling and MMA instructors as well as a Personal/Fitness Trainer.

Adam Fritz
 
     Adam began training in Shotokan Karate earning a 2nd degree black belt. He then came to AFS eventually training in all of our classses. Adam has competed and won in Muay Thai, BJJ and Submission Wrestling. He currently teaches our youth class and assists in the Muay Thai, BJJ/Grappling, and MMA classes.

Sean Kelly
 
     Sean began his training in Shaolin-Do Karate, earning a 2nd degree black belt, and then began training under Mr. Elliott in his EKU campus classes in Muay Thai. He joined AFS and started training in all of our programs. He has competed in won in BJJ, Submission Wrestling and MMA. He currently assists in teaching all classes.

Bobby Handy
 
     Bobby came to AFS, after starting in karate, and began training in Muay Thai, BJJ/Grappling and MMA. Bobby has won events in BJJ/Grappling and Muay Thai. He also just returned from training for nearly a year at American Top Team in Boca Raton, Florida where he trained with some of the top fighters in the UFC. He currently assists in teaching all classes.

Andrew Brown
 
     Andrew came to AFS after starting his training in Muay Thai and BJJ in Dayton, OH. Andrew has trained at AFS in all of our classes and programs. He has competed and won in Muay Thai and BJJ/Grappling. Currently assists in teaching all classes.
